Corporate Accountant
The Corporate Accountant supports core accounting operations and financial reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external reporting requirements. This role partners closely with the Corporate Accounting team and contributes to month-end close, financial analysis, audit support, and SEC reporting activities.
Summary of Job Duties- Review vendor invoices and related disbursements; help manage Accounts Payable entries.
- Execute ACH and wire transfers in accordance with internal controls and approval protocols.
- Assist with daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes.
- Work with the Corporate Accounting team on detailed financial analysis and analyze financial statement variances to budget.
- Assist with quarterly budgeting processes and ongoing forecasting activities.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and year-end close of financial reporting, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, including accurate journal entries to record activity, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling account balances.
- Support debt-related accounting, including monitoring, reviewing, and paying principal and interest invoices.
- Assist with review of tenant accounts receivable ledgers for potential bad debt reserves.
- Prepare supporting schedules for press releases, 8-K filings, 10-Q filings, and 10-K filings.
- Serve as a liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, including leveraging technology and automation tools.
- Complete various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
· Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
· CPA designation preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities· Strong understanding of GAAP; lease accounting experience preferred.
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ownership of work product.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Ability and willingness to use AI tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and automate processes.
· Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
